So today I wanted to post a big picture update. The gallery below is a collection of recent photos I have taken. As promised, I am including some photos of the Saturday trip to meet the Jjajas where the staff treated members of the group and also handed out school materials to the OVCs who showed up (as seen in one photo). The place we conducted the treatment was at a local primary school in the area. As you can see from the flags painted on the wall, it is one that is sponsored jointly by a group from Ireland and Canada.
The other pictures are of the compound I am staying in here in Bukaya – mainly taken from the front steps of my building and a few other areas. Notice the pictures of my laundry drying from the clothesline! We have had some steady rain the past few nights which has made the task if drying a bit more difficult. One other picture to note is the one where it looks like nothing but the stone ground. If you look closely you can see the small black specks. Those are a swarm of ants marching across the ground. It stretched for about 30 meters in length! The ants here in Uganda/Africa are very industrious. I see small and giant ant hills all around the area. Some of these ant hills can reach 8-10 feet in height!
